If you are searching for tips on styling your bedroom for Christmas, whether you are preparing your guest bedroom for visitors, or want to make your own Christmas morning as festive as possible – here you’ll find lots of suggestions for dressing your bedroom to maximum effect! Just take inspiration from your Christmas decorations and choose a theme…

1. Modern Sparkle

For this look keep your colour theme neutral, but add a little sparkle and luxury fabrics for Christmas.

Layering your bedding is a good idea for guest bedrooms. Select your bedlinen then add a low tog duvet, plus a quilt and finally a throw. This way your guests can add or remove the layers as they prefer. I feel the cold and like lots of layers, but other may only need the duvet!

Select simple soft cotton sheets, then add a coordinating duvet cover. The linen duvet cover in white or dove grey is the ultimate in luxury, or choose the luxurious boutique hotel collection of duvet covers and pillowcases for a stylish hotel look. Either choice would work well with these subtly festive bedspreads: the taj bedspread in ivory has hundreds of sparkling sheesa mirrors sewn into the design, while the silverleaf quilted patchwork is made up of luxurious velvets and cotton printed with a silver design.

Finally add a throw with similar tones. The Alpaca throw or Bronte throws in grey or beige are great choices.

2. Rustic & Natural – Holly & Mistletoe

This is a more low key look, but with added cosiness! Shades of brown, white and red or green suggest Christmas wreaths of holly, ivy and mistletoe, Christmas trees and robins. What could be more festive?!

Again a good base for this look is cotton bedding in white or cream. Cream sheets work with our New England duvet set in deep cream and red stripes.  White cotton sheets will match the white waffle duvet set. If you want to add more colour to the scheme – try a Pha Tung silk duvet cover
in cypress green or flame red (they are also on special offer at the moment so now it the time to splurge!)

For the final layers I would suggest the Kadi Ember (with the New England bedding) or Kadi Earth quilt (with the white waffle bedding). Then select a wool throw: again the Alpaca throws are a good choice or the pure new wool throw.

3. Jewel Brights

If you love colour this is the choice for you. Be inspired by the vast array of jewel-like decorations and festive light-strings available at this time of year. Our Zari collection of duvet covers and quilts offer you a range of colours, so you should be able to find your favourite – from duvet covers in aquamarine and warm gold to quilts in berry shades of purple and raspberry. Add lots of cushions in coordinating tones in plush fabrics (velvets and silks) and sink back into your own Christmas grotto!
