We’ve moved – 300 yards to our brand new store on Fitzwilliam Street! After almost 30 years at our old location on Devonshire Street it’s a very exciting development for us and we’d love to see you in our new store.

It’s an entirely new setting, three times the size and a contemporary open plan perfectly suited to our furniture. The larger space allows us to display far more beds and a new collection of bedroom furniture – along with an expanded range of lighting, bedding, toiletries, nightwear and other goodies that we’ve spotted!

More space means there’s somewhere for you to sit down and relax while you’re thinking about your new bed, selecting a mattress or perusing our range of bedding and home-wares. Coffee will be on the go, green tea if you prefer!

It’s certainly the most ambitious project we’ve ever done – we are the first occupants in the space which was just an empty shell. Simon at local architects Studio Gedye designed the plans and steered us tirelessly through the endless compliance and building regulation issues, David Baldwin’s Structural Interiors have done a great job with new walls, flooring, ventilation, lighting and office partitions. It sounds and looks deceptively simple – but it wasn’t! And, yes, we’re delighted with the result. Big thanks to Simon and David and all the staff who worked their socks off.

On Thursday 7th April we’ll be having an official opening with fizz and canapés – drop us an email and we’ll send you an invite, we’d love to see you and thank you for your support. From 6pm April 7th. If you can’t make that date, then come along for a glass of fizz on Saturday 15th April, 10am-5.30pm.

We’ve had many years in the friendly atmosphere of Devonshire Street but changes are afoot there and we’re not moving far, just to the other side of the Green, a few doors down from the Washington pub. There’s easier car parking and a loading bay outside the store if you’re picking up goods.

We look forward to seeing you!
