The luxurious Bloomsbury bed base is an upholstered version of our popular Camden. It is a stylish, contemporary bed with a buttoned, padded headboard for extra comfort. Its elegant solid wood frame has a compact foot-print and gently curved and tapered legs; the staple of our Camden collection.
Bloomsbury is pictured here in solid cherry with Amatheon (Porcelain) fabric and in oak, and with the headboard upholstered in Amatheon (fabric in the colour, Linen). The headboard can be upholstered in you choice of colour, and the frame crafted in your choice of size and timber. To find out more about our timbers, please click here.
Our classic, mid-century inspired Bloomsbury bed base. Available here with a buttoned headboard, upholstered in our standard fabric options. The headboard photographed above is upholstered in Amatheon Linen. You can choose from a range of fabric options for your headboard, and select one of our hardwood timbers for the base.
The Bloomsbury features a gently curved design and is available here to order in our two standard fabric options; Amatheon and Poole.
All our wooden beds are fitted with sprung beech slats for extra comfort and to increase the life of your mattress. We also supply non-slip matting with this bed base to keep your mattress in place.
Every bed is made to order. Our current lead-time is currently around 6-8 weeks (+ delivery).
Amatheon:Â 70% Wool, 25% Polyamide, 5% Acrylic The Amatheon fabric is a solid, opaque fabric which boasts bold colour options. You can find the full range and order samples here on our suppliers’ website, but our most popular colours are listed below. Supplied in the UK by Warwick. Made in Italy.
Poole – 70% Wool, 25% Polyamide, 5% Other Poole is a marl-like fabric, blended with differing tones to create a myriad of colours. It also features a subtle, fine herringbone pattern. You can see the full range of colours listed below. You can also order samples here from our supplier’s website. Supplied in the UK by Warwick. Made in Italy.
If you would like to order this bed upholstered in your own fabric, please contact us for further information. We will require approx. 2m of plain fabric for this bed base, potentially more if your fabric is patterned. Fabrics must also comply with the appropriate Fire Retardancy certification as required.
Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen and protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.

Mattress Depth Information: All of our upholstered bed bases are designed to fit a mattress depth of around 20cm. If your mattress is much deeper than this, the thickness of the cushioned headboard can prevent the mattress from sitting perfectly on your bed frame and may overhang along the bottom edge slightly.
