Our Indian bedspreads and quilts are made from luxurious silks, cottons and velvets. The Zari quilts are made from fine handwoven Mangalgiri cottons from south India. Mangalgiri cottons are characterised by narrow borders of metallic brocade and we've used these borders to give small details of intense pattern and drama to the designs. The Zari cotton quilts sometimes include 'shot' fabric which changes colour slightly when viewed from different angles. Zari cotton quilts have a cotton filling and make delightful lightweight summer quilts for hot nights, they can also be used as a top quilt for extra winter warmth.

The Qila silk quilts with their finely detailed tucks and bobbles are surely among the most beautiful bedcovers in our collection. The radiant colours, the reds, golds and the vibrant kingfisher blues will light up any bedroom. These silk quilts have been skilfully decorated with pleats and tucks to enhance the rich textures and intense colours.

The Jai cotton velvet bedspread has been stonewashed to give a soft, faded look. The satin embroidery and sheesha mirror work is all done by hand and is part of the village and tribal culture of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Rajasthan has a centuries old tradition of producing beautiful cotton bedspreads.
