Kandahar Bed

An Indian bed inspired by designs from the valleys of the Hindu Kush; the intricate hand carved sheshamwood frame evokes images of life in another time and place. We have this design made by craftsmen in India. The first detail photo shows one of our quilts - see the Indian Bedding page for more details.

March 2008, New Kandahars have just arrived - the wood is a darker, richer colour than shown in the photos.

We have a new bed called the Khyber, like the Kandahar but with a higher headboard panel. Shortly to be photographed, details on request.

Delivery

Our prices include delivery on the UK mainland – except for Scotland, Wales and Cornwall for which delivery costs £10.

Within the Sheffield area we usually deliver on Saturdays.

Outside the Sheffield area we use a carrier called Tuffnels. Delivery will be on an agreed weekday between 8am and 6pm. Alternatively, you can specify delivery on an agreed weekday between 8am and 1pm or on a Saturday between 8am and 2pm – for this there is a charge of £25.
