Our Nevada low wooden bed base is a classic, contemporary design. Its sleek silhouette offers a minimal look. Plus, it is available to order in our full range of timbers and finishes. If you’d like to order the Nevada low wooden bed without a headboard, please do get in touch with us for a quote.
If you like the style of the Nevada bed base, but prefer a higher bed, check out the Sahara, Malabar and Tibet beds. Pillow lovers may prefer the Sonora bed which has the same low style but a higher headboard.
All our wooden beds come with sprung beech slats as standard, for extra comfort and to increase the life of your mattress. We also supply non-slip matting to help keep your mattress in place.
Every bed is made to order. Our current lead-time is around 6 – 8 weeks (+ delivery).
Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.

Mattress Depth Information: Our bed bases are designed to fit a mattress depth of around 20cm. If your mattress is much deeper than this, please let us know. We can customise this bed by slightly raising the position of the headboard panel in line with the depth of your mattress. Most small alterations do not require any additional cost. When placing your order, please do let us know your mattress depth. We can then confirm if any alterations are required and if there would be any additional cost involved
Please note: ‘Clear Pine’ is finished in our standard, natural-look lacquer. ‘Sanded Pine’ does not have any lacquer/finish at all. They do not look any different from one another, but the ‘sanded’ option does feel slightly rougher to the touch.

We bought our Nevada bed over 10 years ago, kingsize in walnut, and I am delighted to see that The Natural Bed Co is still going strong manufacturing them.
The bed itself is very well made, ours has survived 2 house moves and the arrival of 2 energentic kids without any issue. Its on its 3rd mattress, now, and is treated to one of comparative quality these days which makes it perfect. I really can’t remember a better long term investment that we have made as I just dont see how our bed is ever going to need replacing. A bed for life!
Style-wise, this bed is beautifully simple and suits our minimalist tastes, the use of a decorative wood like walnut being a small concession.
The headboard is not really seen much of these days as the matresses have got thicker, but I can honestly say that the bed still gives me great pleasure to look at even after all these years and, if I’m honest, a little bit of smugness that we made the right choice for us (having made a lot of wrong ones in other purchases). In my mind a bed should serve only 2 purposes, one of which is sleeping in and neither are reading or watching TV on, so I’m glad we didn’t take the option of a taller headboard – I see the company do make a version with a taller headboard if you prefer.
After many, many online purchases big and small since, I should say that this transaction really sticks in my mind after all these years. Calls to see if we wanted to adjust the dims, to explain about the selection of the wood, to check if the delivery day was suitable and then on the day to reconfirm and even after delivery to make sure everything was ok.
I am delighted to be able to write such a postive review of a product after such a length of time and equally delighted to be able to endorse the Natural Bed Company so positively. Great product – fantastic quality, reasonable price and wonderful service. A real example to others – its taken me a long time to write this, admittedly, but its the only time I’ve ever felt motivated to submit a review!
Now that we need a bed for the guest room, and after 12 years of living with one of the beds, I’m back here as the first point of call – I think that says it all.

I have my bed for a few months and i am delighted to say is been superb. buying a bed is important on so many levels and everyone has their own specific requirements but this has proved a sound investment. Excellent Customer service along with prompt delivery and all items carefully packed for transport. The one and only thing is though the instructions are clear it would be nice to have the beds assembled for you as part of the service, but i managed nevertheless. Would definitely recommend.

I ordered the Nevada – low wooden bed and am absolutely delighted with it. The quality is 5* and with 2 people, it was not hard to put together. It was delivered a little after the lead time given at order point but I had been informed of this delay by email and it wasn’t a problem for me. The bed arrived beautifully packaged and in perfect condition. I have since ordered and received the matching low bedside table which I thought was rather expensive, but it too is well made and solid so worth the outlay.

I am so happy with this lovely piece of furniture! I have more than 15 years of experience as an architect and interior designer and I must say that I found the quality of the craftsmanship outstanding. I put the bed together myself with ease and we have been greatly enjoying our sleep since. Its minimal and beautiful. The wood is matt and really nice to touch. I had been looking for a long time for something very sturdy and low so that it can handle both of us and a very active child who rolls in and out. Nevada bed is exactly what we needed!
