With the start of Autumn upon us, it’s the time of year again that we all start planning for the Christmas period that’s right around the corner! In this blog, we’ll go over some important info for placing bed orders as we approach one of our busiest periods…
At present, we are working to a 6 – 8 week lead time. At the time of this blog being posted, we are working to the week commencing Monday the 3rd November for despatch of new orders. This lead time applies to all Natural Bed Company made items (see all non-bed products here).
For stock furniture items, please refer to the last courier collections section below. All other non-NBC products which have a lead time will have the approx. production timeframe listed on the product page.
All large furniture items are delivered by our national courier, which you can find more information about here.
As we will soon be approaching the cut-off time for guaranteeing pre-Christmas delivery (see below), there are a few details you may want to consider before placing your order…
First and foremost, you may want to consider ordering some free wood samples to help you decide on your choice of timber! All of our standard options/finishes can be ordered here. If you are interested in receiving an English oak, black stained oak or an oiled sample, please contact us directly. For more details about/images of our timbers, check out the Our Timbers page.
In the same vain as our wood samples, if you’re interested in an upholstered bed, we can also send out fabric swatches! We offer an array of fabric options across our range of beds, which are supplied by Warwick and Abraham Moon & Sons. We have a blog dedicated to our current fabric options here, and you can find more details on each product page about/images of the fabrics and the available colour-ways.
Finally, if you are considering requesting any customisations to one of our beds, we’d recommending getting in touch as soon as possible to discuss this. We regularly make alterations, which vary from being fairly simple to complex! Regardless of the type of customisation you need, we would ask that you get in touch about making any amendments prior to placing your order. Any customisation requests made after placing your order may result in a production/despatch delay.
Our last national courier collection is currently due to take place on Monday the 15th December. For non-remote areas, we would expect delivery to occur prior to Christmas if the courier’s first delivery date offer is accepted. Please note that if you do reject the first delivery date, we nor the courier can guarantee that the second delivery date offered will be prior to Christmas.
The last courier collection for guaranteed pre-Christmas delivery to remote areas is Monday the 8th December. As noted above, we would recommend accepting the first date that you are offered for delivery, as we cannot guarantee that the second delivery date offer would be prior to Christmas. Please check out the delivery info page linked above for further details about remote areas.
Based on our current lead-in time, we would recommend placing your bed order by Monday the 13th October if you live in a remote area. If you are in a non-remote area, we would recommend placing your order by Monday the 20th October.
Please note that this is subject to change, and our cut-off dates are based on the rate of new orders being placed. We would always recommend contacting us for the most up-to-date information. We will also try our best to provide accurate updates on this blog post and via our Instagram.
If you have any further questions about pre-Christmas delivery, please let us know. We will also be posting another delivery blog for our smaller stock items once our chosen couriers have released more info on their recommend last posting dates, so do keep an eye out for this!
