Over the years, our upholstered bed bases have been covered in a range of different fabrics. And today, we have more options available than we’ve ever had!

We currently work with two fabric manufacturers; Abraham Moon & Sons and Warwick. In this blog, we’ll go over all of the current fabric options that we upholster our bed bases in…

Wool Options

Parquet – Made from pure wool, Parquet has a classic basketweave pattern, and is available in a variety of colour-ways. You’ll notice we have many of its colour-ways listed on our upholstered bed base pages, however, its full range of colours is a bit more extensive! You can view the full range by clicking the link above, and we’re happy to use any of the colours shown.

This stunning fabric is currently the only option we offer (as standard) by Abraham Moon & Sons. It is at a higher price point than all other fabric options shown in this blog. Pictured below are the colours Silver (left, on the Arran) and Old Gold (right, on the Shetland).

Amatheon – A wool-blend fabric, comprised of 70% wool, 25% polyamide and 5% acrylic. It is available in a large variety of colour-ways. As with the Parquet, we have many of its colours listed on our product pages for our upholstered bed bases, however, the full range of colours can be found by following the link above. This plain fabric is the first of six fabrics we use from Warwick.

Pictured below are the colours Wisp (left, on the Shetland) and Seaglass (right, on the Arran).

Poole – Our second (and final) wool-blend fabric, also made by Warwick, has the same material composition as the Amatheon range. Featuring a subtle herringbone pattern on its marl-like surface, it is available in only 8 colour-ways (at the time of writing this blog).

Pictured below are the colours Cyprus (left, on the Skye) and Mocha (right, on the Highland).

Synthetic + Synthetic-Blend Options

Eco Velvet – Introduced to our bed range in 2024, this fabric is comprised of 100% recycled polyester pile on its face. Its backing is 70% modacrylic, 25% cotton, 5% synthetic fibre. It is also Standard 100 Oeko-Tex and GRS certified. Around 30 PET bottles are used per every metre of this wonderfully soft fabric.

As with the Parquet and Amatheon fabrics, Eco Velvet is available in many different colours, viewable by following the above link. It is pictured below in Indigo (left, on the Iona) and Rum Raisin (right, on the Carlisle). The main image at the very top of this blog also shows the colour Plantation on the Bloomsbury.

Vaquero – A smooth faux-leather fabric, comprised of 100% polyester. Available in 9 colour-ways, which are a range of natural tones, viewable by following the link above.

Currently, this fabric is only listed on our Bloomsbury bed base, but it can be used on any of our upholstered bed bases. It is available with the choice of buttons or a central stitched seam. Both versions are pictured below. The colours shown are Aniline (left, on the buttoned Bloomsbury) and Saddle (right, on the central-seamed headboard of the Bloomsbury).

Andes – Our newest addition to the range, it is a stylish boucle fabric that is comprised of 80% polyester, 10% cotton and 10% acrylic. It is has a chunky weave and is currently available in only 6 neutral colour-ways, viewable by clicking on the above link.

We currently only have this fabric pictured in Onyx, pictured below on the Carlisle.

Monance Fabric

A stunning floral design, laid over a cotton-linen blended fabric (60% cotton, 40% linen). It is currently available in only 4 colour-ways, viewable here on Warwick’s website.

This fabric is only available for use on non-buttoned headboards, such as the Shetland and Carlisle bed bases.

It is currently only pictured in Charbon, pictured below on our Shetland bed base.

Is is possible to order samples?

It is! The links shown above for each fabric will take you to the manufacturers websites, where samples can be ordered. The samples and postage are free when ordering through Warwick. However, Abraham Moon do charge for postage, so if you would like any Parquet samples ordering, simply email us and we are happy to order them on your behalf.

Are there any other options available?

At present, the above fabrics are the only ones we offer as standard. However, this does not mean that we cannot use other fabrics on our upholstered bed bases.

As mentioned above, we currently work with two UK based fabric manufacturers, Abraham Moon & Sons and Warwick. As such, we can order other fabrics that they offer. However, it is important to note that if you have seen another fabric made by these manufacturers that you wish to use, we will need to have our upholsterer approve its use. Not all fabrics will be suitable for our bed bases due to either their composition or weave. As such, we will need to order a sample and have our upholsterer check it over.

If you wish to provide a fabric from a different manufacturer, we have detailed information on what we’ll need from you in our Upholstered Beds: Info & FAQ’s blog.

We hope that you have found this overview of our fabric options helpful. For more information on our upholstered beds, please take a look at our FAQ blog linked just above, or feel free to get in touch with us.
