As the nights draw in and the evenings turn cold, it is the perfect time to add some cosy touches to your bedroom. Here we’ll take a look at our favourite Autumn bedroom looks and how to achieve them. Incorporating the latest additions to our bedding and bedroom furniture ranges, this blog should inspire your inner interior designer!
An easy nod to the change of season is to swap your white summer bed linen for bedding in deeper, warmer tones. This autumn the trend is for rich tones; rust red, burnt orange, chocolate brown and deep olive green. The autumn woodland shades are soothing and perfectly suited to the change in the quality of light at this time of year.
We have throws, duvet sets and bedspreads in a wide range of colours…
Our rust red bedding includes striped cotton duvet sets, reversible muslin bedding with a mini leaf pattern in ecru, sateen organic cotton bedding and cashmere and merino throws. By choosing a slightly muted shade of red, this colour can be both warm and restful – perfect for a bedroom.
Alternative warm shades are burnt orange or deep blush. Just adding a throw or bedspread in one of these colours to some neutral bedding to update your bedroom look. One of my favourites this year is the textured stripe bedspread in deep burnt orange.
If these are just a touch too ‘colourful’ for you – try a rich chocolate brown instead. It works really well with cream and taupe bed linen and will be a safe, yet stylish choice.
We have a huge range of green bedding this season! From the softest sage to deep olive and emerald – we are sure to havea shade of green you love. My favourite shade of green? I love deep khaki – and have my eye on our new contemporary textured cotton bedspreads in this colour.
Cosy brushed cotton bedding, velvet and linen bedspreads and soft lambswool throws – lovely layers of bedding will ensure you stay cosy and warm even with a light duvet.
Autumn can bring those occassional warmer days so layering will allow you to easily adjust your bedding to suit in a way that a single high-tog duvet won’t.
This autumn it’s all about texture and here we have you covered (pardon the pun!) Velvet and linen quilts are sure to keep you cosy while successfully updating your bedroom look. Fluffy alpaca throws and textured cotton bedspreads add interest and warmth.
Chocolate and caramel colour faux fur bedspreads will add a luxe feel to your bedroom (while keeping you toasty too). If a bedspread is more than you need, a luxury faux fur hot water bottle cover or cushion is a great alternative.
