The right bedside table can add style, practicality and convenience to your space. Whether one, or a pair, bedside tables can add a tasteful addition to our decor, as well as some handy storage space for all of those essentials you don’t want too far away from your bed.
For many, the right table is simply the option that matches the bed frame, or other furniture in the room, but this isn’t always the case. You might need to consider the space you have available in your room, as well as things like the amount of storage you need, and the style of bedside table you prefer. Here are some things that you should consider when choosing the right bedside cabinets.
An important consideration for many of us is space. You might not have enough room for two tables in the range that match your bedframe. This certainly doesn’t have to mean that you need to manage without.
One option could be just having one table. This is ideal if you sleep alone, or if your bed is pushed up against a wall. A wall mounted bedside cabinet can be a great choice here.
At Natural Bed Company we also offer a range of smaller bedside tables, such as the Spindle Two Tier Nightstands or the Avio side tables which can work well in smaller rooms.Â
Another consideration you may have is height, especially if you have a very low bed frame and want your tables to sit at a natural height next to it. If you have a low bed frame from Natural Bed Company, we do make some bedside tables such as the low cube table, Oregon Table, or the Kyoto Drawer Table which are handmade to complement some of our beds.Â
Another advantage to purchasing handmade solid wood bedside tables from Natural Bed Company is the option to make customisations. Like our bed frames, our solid wood bedside tables are available in our range of timbers. For example, you could order a walnut bedside table to match your other walnut bedroom furniture and bed base. We may also be able to work with custom sizes if you need something to fit a specific space. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss ordering custom bedside tables.
Whether you want your tables to match your bed exactly, or complement them without being an exact match, we’ve got options to suit.
As well as the Cube and Kyoto tables, there are the Camden, Cochin, Sahara, Oregon, Nevada and Tibet tables to match the bed designs. Where possible these tables come in different height options, and in designs both with and without a drawer. They are all available in different timbers. You can learn more about our range of timbers here.
If an exact match isn’t your thing, these mid-century modern bedside tables look fantastic with many of our bed frames.Â
Of course, getting tables that look great next to your bed won’t be your only consideration. You’ll also want to think about the rest of the room, especially if you don’t want things to match, and would rather each piece in the room stand out in its own right.
If you want a statement piece, something like the Reeded Deco bedside table, or the Pi side table could look incredible.Â
Another big thing to think about is how much storage you need. Do you want a large table top, perhaps for a statement lamp? Do you need a large drawer, or would you prefer shelves? Many of our tables offer a combination of the two.
The good news is, whatever you are looking for, if you want a bedside table in natural wood, you’ve come to the right place. See our full range of bedside tables here or get in touch to talk about your options.Â
