The Shetland is a stylish, contemporary bed with a simple padded headboard for extra comfort. The frame is made of deep, slender sections of solid timber for a refined, yet substantial, look.

Available here in solid walnut with Abraham Moon & Sons ‘Parquet Gold’ fabric, this ex-display bed base is a king-size (fits a 150x200cm mattress).

This bed base is already made and has been on display in our Sheffield showroom. Please note, the images shown on this page were taken shortly after the bed first arrived at our showroom, so the walnut has lightened a little during its time on display. Product Description

The Shetland is a modern classic, featuring a framed padded headboard and a unique leg design. It is available here in solid walnut, and is in a standard UK king-size (fits a 150x200cm mattress).

This ex-display, solid walnut frame is upholstered in Parquet Gold. Parquet is a luxurious, 100% wool fabric made by Abraham Moon & Sons. A close up view of this colour-way can be seen here.

Lacquer Finish:

Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in the tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.

All our wooden beds are fitted as standard with sprung beech slats for extra comfort, and to increase the life of your mattress.

Easy self assembly. Click here to see our simple self assembly instructions. There is no need to worry about getting it upstairs – the flat pack design takes care of that.

Mattress Depth Information:

This ex-display Shetland is designed to fit a mattress depth of around 20cm. If your mattress is much deeper than this, the thickness of the cushioned headboard can prevent the mattress from sitting perfectly on your bed frame and may overhang along the bottom edge slightly.
We can customise any of our upholstered bed bases by slightly raising the headboard panel in line with the depth of your mattress - however, this customisation is not possible with an ex-display bed base, as the bed is already made. Please see out the Shetland product page (linked below).

Outside of the Sheffield area, we use a carrier. Delivery is arranged with the carrier once your order is ready, and will be on an agreed day and time slot.

Within the Sheffield area, we deliver using our own vehicle. Once your order is ready to be delivered, we will contact you to arrange a delivery date and time slot.
