The Malabar bed base is our classic design, available to order here in a Smoke Stained Walnut – the perfect pairing with the Smoked Walnut items in the Black Lotus range. The clean, minimal design of the Malabar looks beautiful as a dark stained walnut bed.

All our wooden beds come with sprung beech slats as standard; both for extra comfort and to increase the life of the mattress. We also supply with non-slip matting to keep your mattress in place.
Every bed is made to order. Our lead-time is usually around 8 weeks (+ delivery). This can fluctuate throughout the year, please do get in touch for the most up to date information.
Lacquer Finish: The “smoked” stain used on this walnut bed creates a darker brown finish, whilst still allowing the texture and tones of the grain to show through. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.

If you have a much deeper mattress than this, we can customise the design by adding to height of the headboard legs and raising the position of the headboard panel. This customisation may incur an additional cost depending on the adjustment required, which varies depending on the size and timber. Outside of the Sheffield area, we use a carrier. Delivery is arranged with the carrier once your order is ready, and will be on an agreed day and time slot.

We have a small workshop in Sheffield where all of our beds and the furniture made by us are hand crafted by our skilled woodworkers.

Yes! Most of our handmade items can be tweaked with a variety of customisations. Please get in touch with our friendly sales team with your idea and we’ll let you know what is possible and provide a bespoke quote.
All of our bed bases are delivered flat pack for easy self assembly - we include our full range of assembly instructions online so you can see how straight forward this is! All of our tables are delivered as one piece, so no assembly would be required. Our under-bed drawers simply require the small castors screwing into place.
Our showroom is based in Sheffield city centre. We try to keep a variety of designs and timber son display, but if you’re hoping to see something specific, please do get in touch before your visit.
