It’s that time of year again; the leaves are turning a golden brown, and with them, the temperature is now starting to drop. In preparation for the cold weather to come, it’s time to start thinking of ways create a cosy atmosphere in our bedrooms. Here we’ll take a look at some of our autumnal bedding favourites…

Picking the Perfect Colours…

Some of our favourite colours this season are fir green and flaxen yellow, warm toned browns and deep reds, and simple slate grey. Each of these colours has a rich and inviting tone that is perfect for anyone wanting to create their ideal Autumn look.

An ever-popular timber with the perfect autumnal tones is Walnut, our darkest and richest timber. Its often-swirling grain is sometimes interspersed with lighter sections. Its beautiful, varied tones are highlighted best on our Hoxton and Hathersage bed frames. If you prefer a lighter wood, take a closer look at our Cherry timber too. Although lighter than the walnut, his beautiful red-toned timber carries a lot of warmth and depth.

Autumnal Duvet Covers

The first, and one of the most important steps in getting ready for this season, is choosing the right duvet cover! Once you have the perfect cover in place, you can start building your Autumnal look from there…

One of our current favourites is the Dark Grey Brushed Cotton Bedding. This bedding is in a deep slate grey that is easy to pair with a variety of autumnal colours! If you’d prefer something with a little more colour that still has that autumnal feel, check out the beautiful Fern Green Pure Linen Bedding.

Starting with a neutral foundation can sometimes be the best way to begin your Autumn bedroom look. Check out our Egyptian cotton and 600 thread count bedding for that luxurious feel. With your base in situ, you can then add to the colour palette by throwing over your favourite autumnal a blanket or bedspread!

If you prefer a more vintage look, check out our new Hedgerow and Sage Green reversible duvet covers. These pale green bedding sets are perfect for year round use. They can be dressed up with your choice of throw to match any season. A deep olive green in particular would work well with these sets.

Cosy Quilts

Adding a simple throw or bedspread to your current duvet can be a great (and stylish) way to see in the colder weather…

In keeping with that cosy autumnal feel, check out the Faux Sheepskin Throw, Soft & Cosy Blankets and our range of fleecy throws. These wonderfully soft blankets make for a great second layer to your bedding.

A great addition to any fall bedding look is our range of velvet quilted throws. This style of throw has an ageless quality! This makes it a great match for both those who like a modern style and those who prefer a vintage look. In particular, the Velvet Reversible Quilts in Jade, Olive and Coral are among our current favourites for this season.

Faux Fur Accents

When it comes to keeping cosy, the luxurious feel of a faux fur blanket or bedspread can be hard to beat. In keeping with the autumn tones, take a look at our charcoal and cement grey faux fur throws. These grey toned faux fur throws are both easy to pair with a great many autumn colours!

Check out our range of Luxury Faux Fur Bedspreads if you’d prefer something a little bigger. Featuring a deep pile faux fur, these are available in four colour variations and two sizes. These beautiful bedspreads will match a variety of autumn and winter bedding styles.

For our full range of faux fur bedding, see here. If you wanna keep the faux fur theme going, you can also take a look at our range of faux fur hot water bottles.

Final Touches…

To finalise your autumn bedding set up, you may want to add some cushions for extra comfort!

The slate grey Velvet Stitched Cushions pair well with our velvet reversible quilts mentioned above! If you’d prefer a more laid back look, however, check out the Deep Green Stripe Cushions. These will tie in great with a variety of autumn colours. Our full range of cushions can be found just here.
