In this dedicated post, we’ll breakdown one of our favourite looks from this year so far. The Leith is one of the most recent additions to our bed collection, being launched in 2022. Inspired by out ever-popular Shetland design, the Leith is a full-timber version, without the upholstery. Characterised by a unique, striking slat design to the legs, it is certainly one of a kind. Here, we show you how to get the look with our cherry Leith bedroom styling, highlighting our favourite products from this room set.

The Bed

Photographed here in our cherry timber, the Leith has seen a lot of attention since its launch last year. A bold, yet minimal design, the Leith allows an expression of personality, but – as always – is grounded by the materials it is crafted in. Cherry is one of our most popular timbers, with a classic, rich red tone that grows deeper over time. You can read more about all our timers, including cherry in our blog; How Our Timbers Age.

The Bedroom Furniture

Working from left to right, this look features a range of furniture from one of our long-standing stockists, Ethnicraft. Their furniture is beautifully modern, whilst remaining subtle and timeless; true Scandinavian design. On the far left is the Nordic Console, made from solid American White Oak and finished in Ethnicraft’s signature Osmo Oil. Either side of the bed are two round Black Side Tables from the same manufacturer, crafted with metal legs and black-stained oak tops. Off to the right of the image, you can just see one of the Osso Stools in a matching black-stained oak – this stool is also available in a natural oak finish.

The last piece of bedroom furniture to the furthest right is a Powder Coated Console Table in the colour, slate. These tables have a uniquely textured finish, and make for beautifully minimal dressing tables.

The Bedding

On the bed, we’ve gone for a neutral base of Organic Linen Bedding in the colour beige. A fantastic choice the year-round, linen helps keep you warm, but is also breathable and allows for good airflow. To contrast the red tones in the cherry timber, we’ve topped our linen bedding with hints of green. Here, we see the Faux Sheepskin Blanket in olive green, laid beneath a Rustic Fringed Throw in a similar colour. These throws add both contrast and texture to the overall design.

The Accessories

Following the same idea of adding subtle green hints, we have added accessories to bring the whole thing together. The slippers seen at the foot of the bed are the classic Egos Felt Slippers in green, and we’ve added plants in vases and pots to the bedside tables. These continue the theme and not only bring a touch of nature, but also variation to the look. We’ve also added one of our Modern Vases to the sideboard unit, and one of the luxe new Ceramic & Glass Candleholders to the bedside.

The Lighting

Lighting plays a huge role in altering the atmosphere of a space. For this particular look, we wanted to create a feeling of cosiness and relaxation, but without losing that modern vibe. To the furthest left, we have an angular table lamp sat atop the oak sideboard unit, along with a modern floor lamp in the left corner of the room. Smaller pops of light can be found on both bedside tables. On the left, the Ceramic & Glass Candleholder is lit, to provide a flickering ambience, and on the right, you can see one of our Wooden Bedside Lamp Holders in the smaller size.
