Here we’ll take a look at the achievable design trends for 2026, those styles and products that we can introduce without redecorating our entire house! There are so many articles at this time of year, from interior design bibles like Elle Decoration and House & Garden to life-style influencers in Vogue and on-line. We’ve chosen our favourites and taken a look at how we can incorporate these looks in our homes and in our Sheffield showroom.

Neo Deco

This look features in House Beautiful and is a popular search on Pinterest. House Beautiful describe it as a sleeker, moodier version of the classic Art Deco look. It still features chevron patterns and geometric shapes, but the colour palette is deeper in tone: rich burgundy, espresso brown and deep ink blue. Add a touch of metallic in chrome or brass to complete your scheme.

An easy way to add this look to your bedroom is with rich colour throws and cushions. If you love the look and are looking for a new bed – try the Carlisle (shown here with a deep burgundy velvet headboard) or the Hoxton (with elegant tapering legs and a chevron headboard). Add Camden bedside drawer tables for the full look. Layer on a faux fur bedspread for a luxurious, decadent take on this style.

An art-deco inspired bedside lamp, candle holder or tray make for lovely finishing touches.

Dark & Textured Timbers

Vogue highlights a return to natural solid wood furniture, particularly a return to darker, richer tones featuring natural, vibrant grains.

We feel our smoked walnut finish is the perfect choice if you wish to embrace this look. The dramatic grain of natural walnut is enhanced with a deep smokey lacquer finish (as illustrated here with our smoked walnut Highbury). Resulting in a rich espresso brown timber with almost a black grain. Our natural walnut is a rich chocolate tone with lighter areas, walnut lightens slightly over time and will warm in tone if left in bright sunshine. Our natural walnut is a softer shade than the smoked walnut but has the same stunning, vibrant grain – try our oiled finish if you want a slightly deeper tone and to maximise the impact of the grain.

We have a wide range of timber accessories too, from lamp bases and trays, to kitchen and bathroom accessories. Our side tables are available in a range of hardwood timbers and will have real impact when updating your bedroom scheme.

Dusty Blue & Deep Brown

Every article we’ve read relating to 2026 interior design trends mentions dusty blue! This is shaping up to be the interiors colour of the year. Vogue recommend matching it with chocolate brown – we couldn’t agree more – we love this colour combination. Just look at our Harrow four poster bed here – the rich walnut bed frame is set off beautifully by the soft blue bedding.

We have a lots of bedding in blue or brown. They works so well together, or juct pick your favourite. Either colour bedding is a great way to update your bedroom for the new year.
Throw cushions and will complete the look. If you are looking for furniture in a rich brown tone – try walnut, teak or our wenge stained pine.

Textured Textiles

The last trend we’ll look at is ‘textured textles’ – whether as a wall-hanging, a rug or a bedspread or throw – richly textured fabrics will add interest to any scheme.

We make the most of a variety of textures when dressing our beds. From plush velvet quilts and deep waffle bedspreads to boucle blankets and faux fur throws – we have bedding to add depth and character.
One of my favourite designs are these contemporary textured cotton bedspreads. Soft and luxurious with a bold seersucker texture, they are available in a range of fashionable colours.
