The Carlisle is a beautiful, contemporary bed with a mid-century style featuring a simple yet deep padded headboard for extra comfort. The curved frame is made of slender sections of solid timber for a soft retro look.
Available here in a standard king-size (fits a 150x200cm mattress) and made from solid Oak. Its headboard is upholstered in Warwick’s Amatheon Wisp.
This ex-display bed base is already made and has been on display in our Sheffield showroom for a few months. It is still in very good condition, it may contain minor signs of wear and tear.

Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in the tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.
All our wooden beds come with sprung beech slats as standard; for extra comfort, and to increase the life of your mattress. We also supply non-slip matting with this design to keep your mattress in place.

Mattress Depth Information: All of our upholstered bed bases are designed to fit a mattress depth of around 20cm. If your mattress is much deeper than this, the thickness of the cushioned headboard can prevent the mattress from sitting perfectly on your bed frame and may overhang along the bottom edge slightly.
We can customise any of our upholstered bed bases by slightly raising the headboard panel in line with the depth of your mattress - however, this customisation is not possible with a stock bed base, as the bed is already made. Please check out the Carlisle product pages linked below.

Outside of the Sheffield area, we use a carrier. Delivery is arranged with the carrier once your order is ready, and will be on an agreed day and time slot.

All of our beds and furniture made by us are handmade to order - our usual lead time is around 8 weeks (+ delivery). This can fluctuate throughout the year, please do get in touch for the most up to date information.
We have a small workshop in Sheffield where all of our beds and the furniture made by us are hand crafted by our skilled woodworkers.

Yes! Most of our handmade items can be tweaked with a variety of customisations. Please get in touch with our friendly sales team with your idea and we’ll let you know what is possible and provide a bespoke quote.
All of our bed bases are delivered flat pack for easy self assembly - we include our full range of assembly instructions online so you can see how straight forward this is! All of our tables are delivered as one piece, so no assembly would be required. Our under-bed drawers simply require the small castors screwing into place.
Our showroom is based in Sheffield city centre. We try to keep a variety of designs and timber son display, but if you’re hoping to see something specific, please do get in touch before your visit.
