Less is more! The simple, sculptural design of the low Kulu platform bed makes the most of your favourite timber. The Kulu bed is a fine, minimal design, perfect for a modern Japanese style bedroom. It has a relatively low headboard height, which makes it particularly suitable for an attic or loft space.
Pictured here in solid ash, you can order this bed in your choice of solid timber. The side tables are also optional, but they make a handy space for your bedtime reading or an alarm clock. Each fixed side-table measures 24x35cm. The price includes a pair.
The Kulu is a platform-style wooden bed, perfectly suited to a loft space or Japanese style bedroom. It is pictured above in solid ash, with side tables. Every bed is made to order. Our current lead-time is currently around 6 – 8 weeks (+ delivery).
Lacquer Finish: Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.

Mattress Depth Information: Our bed bases are designed to fit a mattress depth of around 20cm. If your mattress is much deeper than this, please let us know. We can customise this bed by slightly adding to the headboard panel. When placing your order, please do let us know your mattress depth. We can then confirm if any alterations are required and if there would be any additional cost involved.

Within the Sheffield area we deliver using our own vehicle. Outside the Sheffield area we use a carrier. When your order is ready we’ll contact you regarding your delivery. Delivery will be on an agreed weekday between 8am and 6pm. In some cases it may be possible to deliver on a Saturday or on a specified day – for an extra charge – please contact us for details.
