Inspired by traditional Japanese origami, these unique Oru tables are made from thin sheets of powder-coated steel. Available in two variations, the small and large size can be easily slotted together to create a larger surface that is ideal as coffee table set beside your sofa, and when bought separately in the same size, are perfect for use as bedside tables.

Based on the Japanese art form of folding paper into beautiful intricate figures, German designer Robin Scholtysik constructed sheets of black-stained steel that, when placed together, create these simple yet stylish set of tables. These metal tables are light-weight and lend themselves to easy portability, and can be assembled without the use of any tools.
The small and large size, when slotted together, create a larger table that we find great for placement in front of the sofa. These metal tables then be easily pulled apart to create two separate handy surfaces.

Lead in times: our bed bases (and a select few furniture items) are hand made to order in our Sheffield workshop. The lead in time is usually 8 weeks (+ delivery), which can fluctuate throughout the year – get in touch for the latest info. Please note that ex-display/stock beds, sofa beds, mattresses and some Ethnicraft furniture have differing lead in times, which you will find noted in the description above.
Outside of the Sheffield area, we use a national carrier called BJS. You will be provided an estimated despatch date shortly after your order is placed, and the courier will be in touch with you directly to arrange the delivery date and time slot after they have collected your order.
For customers based in Sheffield, we usually perform delivery in our own vehicle. However, some items are excluded and will instead be shipped with our standard courier, BJS.

We despatch all of our small items via Royal Mail or ParcelForce. Prices include delivery to mainland UK with an aim to deliver within 3-5 working days.
You can opt for an expedited service, if you would prefer. You can select this option for an additional cost at checkout, which then aims to deliver within 1-2 working days.
Please note, we process and pack orders Monday-Saturday between 10am-5pm, excluding bank holidays. We aim to process orders as soon as possible, with collection booked to occur the day after processing.
