The Spindle bedside table has slightly tapered legs and rounded edges to add a soft, sensual quality to this beautiful bedroom piece. This elegant side table has a single lower drawer and upper glass shelf; perfect next to your sofa or bed. Available in three timber options. Choose from natural oak, black stained oak or reclaimed teak.
You can also find matching tables in the form of the Spindle Dresser and a matching Spindle Bench. We think this range pairs wonderfully with our own oak and walnut timbers, and our Black Stained Oak finish respectively. In particular, we would pair Ethnicraft’s Spindle range with our Camden collection.
About Ethnicraft furniture:
Ethnicraft use French and Serbian oak sourced from managed forests in Europe. Their reclaimed teak FSC certified, sourced from Indonesia (verified under the Indonesian Timber Legality Assurance System (SVLK)).
You can also find our full Ethnicraft range on our website.
Please see the Care & Maintenance tab above for more information about the care guidance for Ethnicraft furniture.
If ordering Ethnicraft furniture with a Natural Bed Company bed – please note that Ethnicraft furniture has a slightly different look to our own furniture; it is often slightly lighter in tone and has a different finish to the one we use for our own range.

Caring for your Ethnicraft Furniture:
General care: For regular dusting, use a dry cloth. For cleaning or in case of a spill, use a damp cloth and natural soap. Wipe in the direction of the grain. Do not use soap containing detergent or other chemicals. Dry with a soft clean cloth to prevent spotting.
We always recommend protecting surfaces with coasters, mousepads or placemats, as extreme and repetitive daily use or heat can damage the finish.
Always move objects such as flowerpots, vases, etc. from time to time, and ensure any excess water or dampness is wiped dry immediately to prevent marking the surface.
Teak: The reclaimed nature of the teak offers a distinctive and rustic look for each and every item. The teak range comes without any finish or protective treatment, and it is only polished. The polish used allows the natural oils to rise to the surface.
If you want to protect the wood from the start, you can apply a protective coating. We recommend Oculto Oil (9911). This will seal the pores of the timber and creates a natural protection.
Oak: Ethnicraft use French and Serbian oak sourced from managed forests in Europe. The oak is finished with a pigmented hardwax oil. Through time the original hardwax coating may need to be renewed. Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Use extra fine sand-paper and work in the direction of the wood grain, then apply Osmo Hardwax Oil Natural (3014).
Ethnicraft recommends Osmo Liquid wax Cleaner for removing stains or when the surface starts to feel dry.
Black Oak: Varnished wooden items are finished with a protective coating. This finish gives the item its desired colour and offers protection against stains, though even with this extensive treatment, spills should be removed immediately.

Lead in times: our bed bases (and a select few furniture items) are hand made to order in our Sheffield workshop. The lead in time is usually 8 weeks (+ delivery), which can fluctuate throughout the year – get in touch for the latest info.
