Our Christmas ideas and suggestions – informed by our run up to Christmas from behind the counter….
Here at Natural Bed Company we are getting in to the Christmas spirit!
In our Sheffield store we have paper snowflake decorations in the window, the Christmas tree is up and covered with beautiful glass baubles. Huge 3D paper bells, in pink and white, bring a flavour of Christmas to our bed showroom.
“The atmosphere changes at Christmas, there is a real buzz as people pop in for their Christmas gifts” says Stephanie, one of our most experienced counter staff members. Our range of home and personal gift ideas has changed and broadened over the years. We now offer everything from the ever-popular Sheffield Icon canvases, to Bath House toiletries and Koziol and Quali fun home accessories. Amanda particularly loves the Quali bird-shaped key ring: he comes in his own wall-mountable birdhouse!
Although really busy getting our pre-Christmas bed orders out to customers, the excitement of the season keeps everyone going. We are also selling lots of lovely bedding as customers prepare their homes for an influx of guests over Christmas. (Cripes, that’s a thought!)
So if you are looking for that gift for the person who has everything (I know I am), what would our staff recommend?
Amanda suggests the Spineless Classics prints are a great idea: an entire classic literary work made in to a bold art-print. The posters also come in a large, sturdy cardboard tube – perfect for posting!
Stephanie suggests our grow-your-own-kits: a waterproof box with soil and seeds (and instructions). The most popular type? The box of 4 chilli plants for lovers of spicy food! Other options include the Italian Salad box and the Cottage Garden box.
Chris suggests taking a look at our Bringing It All Back Home site, here you can find a range of unusual Indian crafts from carved Buddha heads to silk wall-hangings.
I would suggest our super soft, (faux) furry slippers or one of our cosy Linum throws. (But then I would hibernate through winter if I had the chance!)
If you really want to blow the budget order them a bed, as a customer did today! A fantastic new bed for the January recovery period, what more could you want!
Peter’s taken home a lovely soft chocolate velvet Niger quilt – a result of his trip to India last winter with Kay and perfect for this cold weather.
Whatever you do this Christmas, we wish you a wonderful one and a happy New Year.
