The coronavirus has had a big impact on our daily lives over the last week and we have had a few enquiries from our customers concerned about their orders with us and if they should expect delays to their deliveries.

We have contacted both our national and international delivery companies for updates and they have provided information on changes to their service.

UPDATE 20/5/2020
Please note – our furniture/mattress delivery company (Domestic Distribution) are currently offering a 2-man delivery service to the ground floor only.

Please let us know if you would prefer to delay the production/completion of your order until our usual 2-man/room of choice delivery service is available (please note the assembly service option is currently not available).
We will continue to supply our smaller stock items – bedding, homewares etc – as usual, but please note all delivery companies are taking a little longer to deliver during lock-down. Please contact us if you have any questions.

UK Deliveries

For bed, furniture and mattress orders within the mainland UK, we use a delivery company called Domestic Distribution. As of today (Monday 16th March), they have confirmed that they have experienced no delays or issues that would impact customer deliveries. They will advise if this changes and we will be in touch with any affected customers as soon as possible.

Their delivery crews have been issued with anti-bacterial wipes and sprays for their vans, scanners and any equipment that would be taken into a customer’s property and they have been advised to wipe down surfaces and items as often as possible. We send our beds out on a room of choice service but if you would prefer the items to be left at the door, simply let the delivery crew know.

International Deliveries

We use UPS and DHL for our international deliveries. Both companies have advised that their services have not been disrupted in the EU or USA. As with our national deliveries, if any issue arises that may cause a delay in your delivery with us, we will be in touch to advise on how you will be affected.

Couriers for both companies have been instructed to follow the current government guidelines – to regularly wash their hands and practice good respiratory hygiene.

DHL have advised that there is no evidence that it is possible to pass on the coronavirus through contact with parcels and packaging.

If anything changes with regards to our national or international deliveries we will update our website, social media and contact all affected customers.

NB: A little bit of good news is that we have decided to postpone the price increases due to take effect next month. In gratitude for those of you ordering with an uncertain lead-time, prices will remain the same.
Please e-mail us if you have any questions.

We would to thank our fantastic customers and wonderful staff for their support and understanding – you are helping this small independent business survive in these difficult times.
