Lightweight Bedspreads for Summer and Beyond

British summertime is generally a mixed bag! Our summer evenings can vary from humid and warm to shudderingly cold. So a lightweight bedspread is a handy addition to your range of bedding. It will add an extra layer of warmth over your duvet on colder nights, or can be used instead of your duvet when it’s warm. In this post we take a look at our latest collection of lightweight bedspreads and quilts – perfect for the season.

Light and White Bedspreads

We have a number of new lightweight bedspreads and throws in various tones of ‘white’ – from warm, creamy shades to cool and crisp whites.
The bedspread shown here is the Ivory Diamond Textured Bedspread. A lightweight bed cover that drapes beautifully and is generous in size (240x260cm). If you like this look – try the white Dapple or Stockholm bedspreads too. They all have a subtle texture or pattern, which will bring your bedding scheme right up to date.

A classic, sumptuous look can be achieved with one of our quilted bedspreads – available with stitching in inky, blue-black or silver grey.

Fresh & Floral – Cotton Quilts & Throws

A pretty floral bedspread is the perfect way to add some county cottage charm to your bedroom scheme. This blue and pink floral bedspread also has touches of ivory and green with a striped pattern to the reverse. It has a subtle ‘vintage’ look to it reminiscent of ‘Cath Kidston’ designs. We have similar lightweight quilts in grey and red, or yellow and white. They all bring a soft, fresh and summery feel.

If you prefer a more modern look take a look at our soft, cotton rich throws in black or yellow. These bold floral prints are more ‘Marimekko’ in inspiration.
For a classic look we have quilts with elaborate floral patterns embroidered on to a plain colour fabric. Available in a wide range of colours in subtle, half tones for a restful feel.

Textured Lightweight Bedspreads

We have some beautiful new bedspreads with embroidered patterns adding texture and interest to plain contemporary colours. The modern embroidered bedspread shown here has a range of geomtric patterns creating the quilted effect. It is a soft, light bedspread that drapes beautifully.
