The Skye is a stylish, classic bed with an extra tall  buttoned and padded headboard. The chunky solid wood frame has a compact footprint. Available here in a standard king-size (fits a 150x200cm mattress) and made from solid maple. Its headboard is upholstered in Abraham Moon & Son’s ‘Parquet Green’ fabric .
This bed base is already made and has been on display in our Sheffield showroom for a few months.

The Skye is a modern, luxurious bed, available here in solid maple in a standard UK kingsize. Defined by its tall, elegant headboard panel, it is upholstered here in Parquet Green. Parquet is a luxurious, 100% wool fabric made by Abraham Moon & Sons. You can see a more detailed close up of this colour option just here.

Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in the tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.
All our wooden beds come with sprung beech slats as standard; for extra comfort, and to increase the life of your mattress. We also supply non-slip matting with this design to keep your mattress in place.

Mattress Depth Information: All of our upholstered bed bases are designed to fit a mattress depth of around 20cm. If your mattress is much deeper than this, the thickness of the cushioned headboard can prevent the mattress from sitting perfectly on your bed frame and may overhang along the bottom edge slightly.
We can customise any of our upholstered bed bases by slightly raising the headboard panel in line with the depth of your mattress - however, this customisation is not possible with an ex-display bed base, as the bed is already made. Please check out the Skye product pages linked below.
