The Skye is a new addition to our collection of solid wood beds with an upholstered, buttoned headboard. The Skye is a stylish, contemporary bed with an extra-tall buttoned and padded headboard offering additional comfort. The chunky solid wood frame has a compact foot-print – just like our Tibet bed.

The bed frame is available in a range of hardwoods. The frame is shown here in solid Oak and Walnut, the buttoned headboard is shown upholstered in Amatheon fabric in the colour Wolf and Poole Fabric in Cyprus Green. The headboard is available upholstered in a selection of fabric colours from Warwick, please find further information below.

Product Description

The Skye is a modern, luxurious bed available in a range of timbers. Defined by its tall, elegant headboard panel, you can select from a range of fabrics for the upholstery. Here, the Skye is available to order in our standard upholstery options; Amatheon & Poole.
The bed frame pictured in the main images above is in solid Oak with further images in solid Walnut, the buttoned headboard upholstered using our standard fabric ranges; Amatheon Wolf (grey) & Poole Cyprus (green).

All our wooden beds come with sprung beech slats as standard, for extra comfort and to increase the life of your mattress.

Every bed is made to order. Our current lead-time is currently around 6 – 8 weeks (+delivery).

About our Upholstery Options:

Amatheon: 70% Wool, 25% Polyamide, 5% Acrylic
The Amatheon fabric is a solid, opaque fabric which boasts bold colour options. Our most popular selections are listed below, and you can find the full range and order samples here on our suppliers’ website. Supplied in the UK by Warwick. Made in Italy.

Wolf – a pale warm grey
Armour – a rich charcoal
Ebony – a black marl
Linen – a marl of beige and mid grey
Ecru – a paler shade of linen
Dew – a soft sky blue
Emperor – a deep plum colour

Poole – 70% Wool, 25% Polyamide, 5% Other
Poole is a marl-like fabric, blended with differing tones to create a myriad of colours. It also features a subtle, fine herringbone pattern. The full range of colours are listed below, and you can order samples here from our supplier’s website. Supplied in the UK by Warwick. Made in Italy.

Cyprus – a deep olive green
Ebony – a blend of ivory and black
Ecru – a blend of ivory and beige
Imperial – a muted burgundy
Marl – a silver grey
Mocha – a blend of ivory and dark brown
Navy – a cornflower blue
Seaglass – a blend of ivory and glass green

If you would like to order this bed upholstered in your own fabric, please contact us for further information. We will require approx. 3-5m of plain fabric for this bed base, potentially more if your fabric is patterned. Fabrics must also comply with the appropriate Fire Retardancy certification as required.

Lacquer Finish:

Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.

Mattress Depth Info:
All of our upholstered bed bases are designed to fit a mattress depth of around 20cm. If your mattress is much deeper than this, the thickness of the cushioned headboard can prevent the mattress from sitting perfectly on your bed frame and may overhang along the bottom edge slightly. Don't worry though - we can customise any of our upholstered bed bases by slightly raising the headboard panel in line with the depth of your mattress for a perfect fit!
Most small alterations do not require any additional cost.

Please do let us know your mattress depth at the time of order and we can confirm if any alterations are required and if there would be any additional cost involved.
