The Skye bed is a recent addition to our collection of solid wood beds with an upholstered headboard. The Skye is a stylish, classic bed with an extra tall  buttoned and padded headboard. The chunky solid wood frame has a compact footprint, just like our Tibet bed. The bed frame is available in a range of hardwoods. The Skye bed is available to order here upholstered in our premium fabric. Parquet is a luxury, pure wool fabric with a basketweave pattern – woven by Moons in West Yorkshire. The Skye is a modern, luxurious bed available in a range of timbers. Defined by its tall, elegant headboard panel, you can select from a range of fabrics for the upholstery. Here, the Skye is available to order with our premium, pure wool upholstery option; Parquet. Crafted from solid walnut, the Skye photographed above has a buttoned headboard upholstered using our premium fabric.
All our wooden beds are fitted as standard with sprung beech slats, for extra comfort and to increase the life of your mattress.
Every bed is made to order. Our current lead-time is approximately around 6 – 8 weeks (+delivery).
Parquet is a luxurious, 100% wool fabric, available in a range of contemporary colours. You can find the full colour range here on our suppliers’ website. Within the Premium Fabrics tab to the left of this page, you will find detailed images of the fabric swatches. Please contact us if you would like to receive samples of any of the fabrics.
If you would like to order this bed upholstered in your own fabric, please contact us for further information. For plain fabrics, we would require approximately 3-5m to complete the upholstery. If you intend to use a patterned fabric, more may be required. Fabrics must also comply with the appropriate Fire Retardancy certification as required by law.
Lacquer Finish: Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.

Mattress Depth Information: All of our upholstered bed bases are designed to fit a mattress depth of around 20cm. If your mattress is much deeper than this, the thickness of the cushioned headboard can prevent the mattress from sitting perfectly on your bed frame and may overhang along the bottom edge slightly. Don't worry though! We can customise any of our upholstered bed bases by slightly raising the headboard panel in line with the depth of your mattress for a perfect fit. Most small alterations do not require any additional cost.

Within the Sheffield area we deliver using our own vehicle. Outside the Sheffield area we use a carrier. When your order is ready we’ll contact you regarding your delivery. Delivery will be on an agreed weekday between 8am and 6pm. In some cases it may be possible to deliver on a Saturday or on a specified day - for an extra charge - please contact us for details.
