We don’t just like Ethnicraft Furniture, we LOVE it! When we have a new delivery you will be able to see Natural Bed Company staff climbing over each other to get a good look, but we are not embarrassed of our giddy actions – It’s Scandi, minimal designs and beautiful timber finishes have us completely hooked and after you’ve read this blog we’re certain you will be smitten too!
Ethnicraft’s values reflect our own – quality furniture, made well with sustainably sourced timber. In their own words – “Our oak collection is authentic, warm and natural. It is strong, functional and sturdy, made with a passion for pure lines and respect for the wood itself that becomes even more beautiful as years go by.” Sounds pretty great to us!
Although Ethnicraft furniture has a slightly different finish to our own furniture, it still pairs with our oak bed bases beautifully. The Ethnicraft finish is very matte in appearance and can appear slightly lighter than our oak furniture with our ‘natural’ lacquer finish. Ethnicraft also have a more rustic, slightly less polished finish which means the range works perfectly in all spaces – from modern and minimal studio apartments to classic English cottages. This mid-century inspired sideboard is available in solid oak. Featuring two push-to-open doors, it has ample storage room over its two shelves. Despite its sleek look, its roomy interior makes it perfect for storing a variety of items, from clothing to books to board games!
We find that the PI sideboard fits in well particularly with our Camden range of bed bases. Currently our largest range of beds, each one of these beds features similarly soft curves and rounded legs, making it an ideal pairing with this sideboard. The Camden range also has bedside tables and a bench that we think also fits well with Ethnicraft’s PI range.
Frame Dressing Table
This stylish console table is made of solid oak and incorporates two handy drawers for storage – making it ideal to use as a dressing table, hall-way console table or useful desk. We love this piece paired with a classic four poster bed such as the Orchid, Highland, Oasis or Cube – the strong lines of the frame mirror the tall posts and canopy of the beds. Used as a dressing table this piece is an ideal luxury touch to a master bedroom, simply add a mirror and pair with the Ethnicraft Osso Stool to complete the look.
Madra Low Bedside Drawer
A fairly statement piece, the Madra low table appears to be a floating block of solid oak, which is actually a large (but well hidden) storage drawer on a low, inset plinth. This unit works perfectly with our contemporary low beds such as the Ki, Kulu, Kumo or Kyoto. We love this piece paired with the Ki bed base as the cube shape is mirrored by the solid plank featured on the bottom of the bed base. This table would be ideal in a minimal loft space, an ultra modern studio apartment or anyone looking to quickly inject a bit of Scandi style to their bedroom!
Monolit Collection
The newest collection to be added to our Ethnicraft range – Monolit features beautiful solid oak contrasted against a lacquered metal frame. This range includes a console table, bedside table, two door cupboard and low media unit/cupboard. The matching Gabbia chair looks great with it too.
