We are thrilled to announce that we have just received our latest delivery of oak and walnut Black Lotus bedroom furniture. Designed in-house and made, exclusively for Natural Bed Company, by a small family business in Vietnam. This collection is batch produced and re-stocked just a couple of times a year – so it’s always exciting when get a new delivery.
Here we’ll take a look a the various collections available.
The Cube range suits any of our modern beds, made in solid oak, it has an elegant simplicity that really shows off the timber. The range includes a number of pieces of storage: bedside units, end-of-bed storage units and chests of drawers.If you are looking for a bedside table we have a number of styles in this collection. A two drawer unit with a small foot print is perfect for smaller bedrooms. The original design has two upper drawers and a lower shelf (ideal for books or slippers, or an extra blanket) while the new version has the drawers at the bottom and the shelf on top (a handy space for charging your mobile phone or tablet). These units are W 40 x D 35 x H 50cm in size – great for mid-height beds, or when you prefer the height of your bedside to match your mattress height. For low beds we recommend the one drawer bedside unit – W 67.5 x D 40 x H 35cm, or open cube unit – W 75 x D 35 x H30cm.
If you need to maximise your storage space we also have end-of-bed units that can act as a bench and a storage unit. Available with, or without, a drawer in the following sizes: with a drawer: W 150 x D 40 x H 35cm, without the drawer: W 150 x D 35 x H30cm. If you have a double bed we recommend putting together two of the single drawer bedside (67.5cm each).Our chests of drawers coming in two sizes: a five drawer tall boy unit (W 60 x D 40 x H 100cm) and a three drawer unit (W 75 x D 40 x H 76cm). Both versions also have the lower shelf, the design motif that runs through this collection, and a hand space for shoes, extra bedding or towels.
Our Black Lotus bedroom furniture ranges are made up of the modern Cube and classic ‘Shaker’ inpsired range. This Shaker collection has solid oak legs, tops and drawer fronts.Our bedside units are available with either two or three drawers, the 2-drawer unit is W 50 x D 38 x H 47cm, the 3-drawer is W 50 x D 38 x H 61cm. The simple, four-leg design and handleless drawers are a contemporary take a classic Shaker style furniture.
The larger storage units in the Shaker range are chests of drawers. We have a 3-drawer unit (W 77 x D 40 x H 76cm), tall 5 drawer unit (W 77 x D 40 x H 114cm) and a wide 6-drawer chest (W 120x D 40 x H 76cm). This large 6 drawer unit provides lots of bedroom storage, but can also be used as a sideboard for the lounge or dining room.
The Cube range in walnut is a capsule collection based on the oak range, but not including every option. The range includes the two drawer bedsides (both versions) and the low one drawer bedside, the three and five drawer chests and the smaller open cube.
This range again suits many of our modern beds, we particularly like to pair it with the Cube and Oasis 4-poster beds, the Shetland and the Hoxton beds.
We offer the full Shaker range in walnut – a small 2-drawer bedside unit, a taller 3-drawer bedside, 3 and 5 drawer chests and the wide 6 drawer sideboard unit.
The Shaker range will work with most of our bed designs, they particularly suit or classic 4-leg beds such as the Malabar, Sonora, Nevada and Sahara beds. It is shown above with the Zanskar bed, where is takes on a more mid-century look.
