Christmas always comes around so fast! This year is no different, so we thought we’d get to it and put together a little guide on how you can refresh your guest room for Christmas. The big day is a big deal, we know, but here at Natural Bed Company we like to think it’s also a time to slow down. Decorating and incorporating your favourite colours, materials and accents can be a therapeutic way to get into the season. Read on for our tips and stand-out picks.

Bedding

Duvet Sets

Is there anything more luxurious than sinking into soft, cosy bedding on a cool winter’s eve? Treat your guests to a snug place to rest when they come to stay with a brand new bedding set. Our best seller at the moment, the Organic Cotton Muslin Bedding is available in four contemporary shades and boasts a super soft, kind-to-skin feel. Or, take a look at the Fern Green Pure Linen Bedding for an instant Christmas feel.

Another favourite this time of year is brushed cotton bedding. Soft and snuggly, and extra warm thanks to its brushed texture, you can find it in neutrals and patterns on our website. Find the whole range just here. If you’re looking for something that really catches the eye in your Christmas guest room, you could also take a look at the Dark Green Woodland Duvet Set – a cosy cotton bed set dotted with woodland creatures – perfect for a silent night.

Bedspreads

Bedspreads come out at Christmas time in our household. As soon as those cold nights start rolling in, there’s nothing like layering up your bedding with a cosy bedspread to keep the chills at bay. Some of our new favourites at the minute are the Textured Linen Bedspread Sets – available in Blush Pink or Moss Grey. Not only are these ideal for layering, but they also come with matching pillowcases – making them a great summer set, too!

But of course, our staple this time of year is always faux fur. There’s something so rustic and homely about faux fur throws that just sets the mood for Christmas time. Some of our favourites are the Frosted Faux Fur Throws and Luxury Faux Fur Bedspreads. But you can find the full range just here.

Decorations

The best way to bring Christmas vibes to your guest room is with decorations. Adding those little touches around the room really set the tone and bring that cheer. You can find our full range of Christmas decorations just here. Some of our personal picks at the moment are the range of white porcelain decorations and ornaments. Take a look at the Round House Hanging Lanterns, the Winter Scene Tea Light Holder or the White & Gold Trees Candleholder for touches of magic and nostalgia.

Lighting is another great way to decorate at Christmas. We love the LED Light Strings in copper this time of year; the copper just adds a bit of something special. Also, you can’t go wrong with a wreath on the back of a door or above a bed. Check out the Silver Starburst Wreath, Faux Eucalyptus Wreath or Faux Berry Wreath for easy festive additions.

Bath-time

When guests come over, it’s always nice to feel like you’re pampering them a little. Any of these suggestions are sure to make your guests feel special, but for that hotel feel – luxury toiletries are the way to go!

This year, our favourites come to us from sustainable brands, Cahm & Bath House. The new Body Lotions & Washes from Cahm are available in three fresh scents (choose from Thyme, Olive & Bergamot, Smoked Cedar & Bergamot or Saltwick Bay). Or, for more spicy scents, take a look at the Bath House Bath Soaks – available in either Fig & Nutmeg or Bergamot & Amber.

To set the mood for your guests’ bath-time, you can also find our full range of candles just here.

Remember to Relax

Christmas is a wonderful time of year. Exchanging heartfelt gifts and celebrating the season with loved ones is what it’s all about. In modern times, it can also be a bit of a stressful point in the year, so remember to treat yourself kindly and take the time to relax and unwind. Hopefully our ideas on how to refresh your guest room for Christmas will help your guests do the same, too!
