The latest additions to our popular Camden Collection are the bold yet elegant Chiswick and Highbury bed bases. Following a few enquires for customisations on our upholstered Bloomsbury bed, the Chiswick and Highbury were created!

First and foremost, it’s important to note that the overall dimensions of both bed bases are identical to each other and the Bloomsbury.

They also feature the same legs and side rails as the rest of the Camden Collection. The rails have the same gently curved edges, and the legs taper to give and light and refined look to the base.

The distinctive feature of our new additions are their substantial, solid wood headboard panels.

Shown here in walnut, the Chiswick has a large, plain headboard panel. Its headboard panel is 50cm high, and the width is nominal to the size of the bed you choose (e.g. a kingsize would have a 150cm wide headboard panel).

The Highbury is pictured here in solid oak. Its panel is the same size as the Chiswick’s, but instead features a chevron design. If you love to see the variation in your choice of timber, the chevron beautifully allows the differences in tone, colour and grain to really shine through.

Overall length: 207cm for 200cm long mattress; 197cm for 190cm long mattress sizes.
Overall width: same as nominal size, e.g. a 150cm Chiswick is 150cm wide

Under-bed clearance: 27cm
Height to top of headboard: 110cm

Timbers

The Chiswick is shown here in walnut, and the Highbury in oak. Both bed bases are available in our full range of hardwoods; walnut, cherry, oak, ash, beech and maple (shown below).

If you’re thinking of opting for the chevron detailing of the Highbury, walnut, cherry and ash are ideal timbers to choose from! The variation and contrast in each of these timbers’ grains will enhance the look of the chevron beautifully.

Matching Furniture

These beds pair wonderfully with the Camden Tables, Camden Drawer Tables and the Camden Bench. Due to the height of these beds, we’d recommend opting for the ‘tall’ versions of the tables linked. Each of these pieces of furniture are slo available in our full selection of hardwoods.
