The Highbury is a variation on our Bloomsbury bed base, featuring a solid wood headboard instead of an upholstered panel. This stylish, handmade bed has an extensive headboard panel, which features a stunning  chevron pattern. Its elegant wooden frame has a compact foot-print and gently curved and tapered legs; the staple of our Camden collection.
The Highbury is pictured here in solid oak, and is available in a range of hardwoods. Walnut, ash, cherry and oak are ideal timbers for the Highbury, as their prominent grains show beautifully on the chevron headboard.
Part of our popular Camden collection, the stunning, handmade Highbury bed is based on our Bloomsbury. Instead of an upholstered panel, this design instead features a large solid wood headboard panel with a chevron pattern. Crafted from your choice of hardwood timber. Also available with a plain headboard in the form of our Chiswick bed base.
All our wooden beds are fitted with sprung beech slats for extra comfort and to increase the life of your mattress. We also supply non-slip matting with this bed base to keep your mattress in place.
Made to order. Our current lead-time is currently around 6-8 weeks (+ delivery).
Lacquer Finish: Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.

Outside of the Sheffield area, we use a carrier. Delivery is arranged with the carrier once your order is ready, and will be on an agreed day and time slot.

Please note: ‘Clear Pine’ is finished in our standard, natural-look lacquer. ‘Sanded Pine’ does not have any lacquer/finish at all. They do not look any different from one another, but the ‘sanded’ option does feel slightly rougher to the touch.
