Many of our customers come from far afield to see and try out our wooden bed collection. They often ask for suggestions for other places to visit while in Sheffield. Where are the best places to get some lunch or a good coffee? Which are the not-to-be-missed galleries, parks and museums?
With this in mind we thought we’d write a blog listing a few of our favourite places. From well-loved Sheffield icons to where to find the best cappuccino!
There are so many fantastic coffee bars in Sheffield it’s very hard to choose! So here are a small selection of our favourites…
Looking for something unique? Sheffield has a great selection of independent shops covering clothing, jewellery and home-wares.
You will of course find a fantastic selection of gifts and homewares at Natural Bed Company. Including bedding, throws, towels and toiletries, scented candles, photo frames and mugs. In fact you can try our Fitzwilliam Street showroom for everything from cushion covers to lampshades!
If you are looking for an evening of great quality entertainment try our City Hall, Crucible and Lyceum theatres – you’re sure to find something interesting!
The Showroom Cinema (near to Sheffield station) is a great option for a range of art-house movies and, as they also have a fantastic cafe-bar, you can spend an entire evening here!
The Millennium Gallery and the Site Gallery are the perfect choice if you are looking for modern art.
Graves Gallery and Weston Park Museum offer classic, traditional paintings and sculptures. Weston Park Museum is a great option if you are looking to entertain your children, not only does it have exhibitions specifically designed for them, the museum is situated in a beautiful park.
Sheffield is packed full of beautiful parks and gardens. Personal favourites are the Botanical Gardens Broomhill, and Endcliffe Park (just down the road from Botanical Gardens if you want to see them both!)
If you are looking for a longer walk follow the river in Endcliffe Park through to Whiteley Woods and out into the beautiful Peak District.
