Being eco friendly is part of our ethos at the Natural Bed Company. We are always looking for new environmentally conscious products to add to our collection, and we love sharing them with you. Alongside caring for the environment, we love keeping an eye on the latest trends in bedroom design. Lately we’ve noticed a rise in nature-inspired colour schemes – with the colour green being an obvious focus! So we thought we’d combined the two. Read on to find out our tips for going green whilst going green…
With the focus of this blog being going green, what better place to start than with our range of bedding in pure organic cotton? Supplied by a company is based in Devon, UK, the organic cotton used in their products from agricultural projects across Central Asia. Organic cotton is a great investment as it is durable and long-lasting, and also comfortable and naturally breathable, making for a lovely choice for your bedding.
Some of our favourite staples are their Ivory Bedding sets and Brown Melange bedding sets – these make for perfect bases for your green throws to sit atop and are easy to pair with light or heavy throws all year round. Another favourite with our customers is the Luxury Organic Cotton bedding. This range, from another supplier, is also in 100% pure cotton from organic sources. This one is available in a range of colours, and looks great paired with a chunky, textured throw. Bedding is a necessity – but it’s the throws, cushions, and styles we choose that allow us to put our own stamp on things. Colours inspired by nature and natural, organic fabrics are a definite staple of modern bedding trends. Green is such a great colour choice for your bedroom, as it not only looks fab, but naturally makes us happy. We associate the colour green with being out in nature, and this brings with it feelings of harmony and tranquility. Who doesn’t want to wake up to that?
Some of our favourite throws in green are also made of organic and sustainable materials. These cotton herringbone throws are made from 100% ethically sourced cotton and our brand new range of Elvang throws are made from recycled Alpaca wool and organic cotton fibres.
We introduced you to our new Eco Core Biodegradable mattresses in our recent blog; Biodegradable Mattresses – A closer look at the new Eco Core Range – but they’re so good that we thought we’d include them here too! The Eco Core mattresses are made from 99% biodegradable materials. The core of the mattress is made from natural latex and coconut fibres. This is encased in a layer of comfort made from either cotton or wool, depending on your preference!
Taking care of the environment is something that we’re all becoming increasingly aware of and something that our customers are very interested in.
