The Camden is a beautiful, solid wood, handmade bed with shaped legs and soft curves to the edges. Shown here in solid oak, dark walnut and pale maple. Any one of our sustainably sourced timbers are ideal for the Camden, where the natural, differing directions of the grain on the legs and headboard make for an interesting detail.

Our original Camden handmade bed base. This classic design features a bold panel headboard, expertly crafted from your choice of solid wood timber. Complimented by the elegant curves of the legs and gently softened edges. Also available with a chevron headboard in the form of our Hoxton bed base.

Please note, we have recently updated our Camden collection to include slightly thicker timber sections which results in a simpler assembly. These changes are very subtle and can be seen in the main image. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
All our wooden beds are fitted as standard with sprung beech slats, for extra comfort and to increase the life of the mattress. We supply with non-slip matting to keep your mattress in place.
Every bed is made to order. Our lead-time is usually around 8 weeks (+ delivery). This can fluctuate throughout the year, please do get in touch for the most up to date information.
Lacquer Finish: Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.

If you have a much deeper mattress than this, we can customise the design by slightly adding to height of the headboard legs and raising the position of the headboard panel. This customisation may incur an additional cost depending on the adjustment required, which varies depending on the size and timber. Outside of the Sheffield area, we use a carrier. Delivery is arranged with the carrier once your order is ready, and will be on an agreed day and time slot.
Within the Sheffield area, we deliver using our own vehicle. Once your order is ready to be delivered, we will contact you to arrange a delivery date and time slot.

The Camden bed is one of great workmanship and well constructed, the wood, beech, is beautiful. The mattress is excellent and the best we’ve ever had. This is the second bed from Natural Beds, one ordered thirteen years ago, moved and dismantled seven times (!) and still as good as new hence our confidence ordering another similar bed. The company and the delivery firm are polite and extremely helpful. All worth the wait under Covid restrictions.

We ordered a superking size Camden Handmade Bed in ash and it’s simply beautiful. The quality of the wood, the workmanship and the finish are all outstanding. It was a doddle to assemble and the adjustable sprung slats also allow for personal configuration on each side of the bed. We’re absolutely delighted with it and wouldn’t hesitate to order from the Natural Bed Company again.

Kingsize Camden in Cherry (self assembly). Such a beautiful well-made bed – the design, careful construction and natural finish on the FSC cherry wood make it a joy to behold and to sleep in.
