Introducing our latest bed design – part of our collection of solid wood bed frames with upholstered headboard panels. The Skye bed has a chunky, solid wood frame based on our Tibet bed, with an extra tall buttoned headboard.

Skye upholstery options:
The tall buttoned headboard of the Skye is available upholstered in a wide range of fabrics. The frame is shown here in solid walnut, the buttoned headboard is shown upholstered in Amatheon fabric in the colour Wolf. The headboard is available upholstered in a selection of colours of Tailor fabric or Amatheon marl fabric from Warwick, however if you would like to order a Skye upholstered in the pure wool fabric shown on the Iona bed – this is possible, please just contact us for prices.

Below you can see an example of each of the fabrics. The marl fabric Amatheon (shown on the Skye) is 70% Wool, 25% Polyamide, (5% mixed fibres). It is a soft and luxurious, high quality ‘felt like’ fabric with a high Martindale rating of 40,000+ suitable for contract upholstery. Amatheon is available as standard in the following colours:  Wolf – is a pale warm grey, Armour – is a rich charcoal, Ebony – is a black marl, Linen – is a marl of beige and mid grey, Ecru – is a paler shade of linen, Dew – is a soft sky blue, Emperor – is a deep plum colour.

Tailor (shown on the Arran bed) is 50% wool, 15% cotton, 17 polyamide, 14% polyester & 4% poly-cotton mix. Tailor is a woven fabric with a subtle sheen, available in the following colours: Wolf – a pale warm grey, Linen – a mix of beige and mid grey, Natural – a pale biscuit colour or Earth – a mid warm brown.
The Iona is photographed here upholstered in the premium, pure wool fabric – Parquet. Parquet is a luxury fabric with a classic basket-weave pattern, available in a range of contemporary colours: Turquoise, Orange, Denim, Silver, Pewter, Petrol, Sage and Hessian.

Skye timber options:
The Skye bed frame is available in a range of hardwoods – walnut (as shown above), oak, beech, cherry, ash and maple. The thick, square section, timber legs balance the extra tall headboard panel. If you are looking for a shorter headboard try the Arran, if you are looking for a really low bed with a simply buttoned headboard take a look at the Iona.

Bedside tables to suit the Skye bed:
The Skye bed looks great paired with our taller bedside tables and storage units. The model you prefer will depend on if you want the height of the table to match the height of the side rails, the height of the top of the mattress or the approximate height of your pillows! We suggest that you look at the ‘original’ (H 50cm) and ‘tall’ (H 60cm) cube tables, available in our full range of timber options, or the two drawer bedside unit (H 50cm) from the Black Lotus collection. If you are looking for oak bedside units try our Ethnicraft collection – the Azur and Ligna bedside units would look great with an oak Skye.
