The Camden is a timeless design, and one of our most popular models. Here, we’ve crafted a special edition, made from locally-sourced Scottish Elm from Albion Timber in a unique collaboration. Like all our beds, this special run of Camden beds are made by hand in our Sheffield workshop. Available in King (150x200cm) and Super-King size (180x200cm).
Every bed is made to order. Our lead-time is usually around 8 weeks (+ delivery). The stock levels noted below indicate the timber in stock to make the sizes available.
Our original Camden handmade bed base, but made here as a special edition in solid Scottish Elm. This classic design features a bold panel headboard, complimented by the elegant curves of the legs and gently softened edges.
Crafted by hand in our Sheffield workshop, this special edition batch of King-size (150x200cm) and Super-King (180x200cm) Scottish Elm Camdens are made from locally-sourced Scottish Elm from Albion Timber.

Scottish Elm is a beautifully wild, characterful timber. It is possible to see a variety of tones within this warm, mid-brown timber such as deeper brown, touches of pink and green, all of which will deepen slightly with time. Visually, the grain is fairly tight and twisted, providing plenty of interesting pattern and variety. As with our English Oak bed bases, the grain features knots and burrs due to the natural growing conditions in Northern Scotland.
Our ‘natural’ look lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad colours and subtle variations in the tone of natural timber. It also retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.
All our wooden beds are fitted as standard with sprung beech slats for extra comfort, and to also help increase the life of your mattress.

If you have a much deeper mattress than this, we can customise the design by slightly adding to height of the headboard legs and raising the position of the headboard panel. This customisation may incur an additional cost depending on the adjustment required, which varies depending on the size and timber. Outside of the Sheffield area, we use a carrier. Delivery is arranged with the carrier once your order is ready, and will be on an agreed day and time slot.
Within the Sheffield area, we deliver using our own vehicle. Once your order is ready to be delivered, we will contact you to arrange a delivery date and time slot.

We have a small workshop in Sheffield where all of our beds and the furniture made by us are hand crafted by our skilled woodworkers.

Yes! Most of our handmade items can be tweaked with a variety of customisations. Please get in touch with our friendly sales team with your idea and we’ll let you know what is possible and provide a bespoke quote.
All of our bed bases are delivered flat pack for easy self assembly - we include our full range of assembly instructions online so you can see how straight forward this is! All of our tables are delivered as one piece, so no assembly would be required. Our under-bed drawers simply require the small castors screwing into place.
Our showroom is based in Sheffield city centre. We try to keep a variety of designs and timber son display, but if you’re hoping to see something specific, please do get in touch before your visit.
