Here at Natural Bed Company, we love to celebrate well made homewares and interiors. As 2023 is drawing to a close, we thought it would be fun to summarise a few of the highlights we’ve had throughout this year!

New Handmade Bed Designs

First and foremost, we wanted to shout about our new bed designs – 6 this year!
As every bed base is made to order, we love to create custom handmade beds for our customers by tweaking our original designs. Most of our new designs were actually a custom request by a customer in the past. We loved them so much we thought we’d add them to the permanent collection. This year we introduced…

  • The Camden without a headboard – a popular option for those wanting to save every centimetre possible or use a wall mounted headboard panel. This bed gives you the same delicate curves as our Camden but without the headboard.
  • The Dalston – a Twist on our classic Cochin bed but with the ever popular chevron pattern headboard.
  • The Chiswick – If you like our Bloomsbury bed but wish it had a wooden headboard – the Chiswick is for you!
  • The Higbury – If you like the Chiswick but want the extra chevron details on the headboard!
  • The Leith – Similar to our Shetland bed base, slightly lower, with a wooden headboard and extra cube detail to the foot end. This design has been very popular this year!
  • The Special Edition Leith – an extra detail of contrasting timber is something we’ve done a few times before, we think this eventuates the beautiful, modern square shape.

Black Lotus Furniture Restock!

Yes, we’re thrilled that the long awaited Black Lotus re-stock has started to take place this year!
Lots of people have been waiting for an update on this range and we’re so grateful that there has been so much enthusiasm. We still have a few more items arriving in the new year, you can sign up to be notified of re-stocked items on eco product page if there’s a piece you’ve got your eye on. Perfect for use alongside our handmade beds or in any room.

New Mattresses

We’re always on the look out for a wider variety of mattresses to pair with our handmade beds. From differing textures and structure to materials and treatments, we want everyone to find something they love! Here’s a couple of our newest options:

  • The Opulent 2000 – internally tufted for an ultra smooth sleeping surface and 2000 nested pocket spring for extra support, this mattress has a very luxurious feel. Available in Soft, Medium or Firm but available to try in store in Medium.
  • The Whiston – A luxurious pocket sprung mattress made with natural materials and a chemical free cover. Available in a medium/soft tension, we find this mattress’ plush upper layers add an extra softness to the overall feel. This luxe mattress has a mix of supportive pocket springs and mini ‘comfort’ springs – the overall spring count for this mattress is 6200 springs on a king size.

Of course, this is not everything! We’ve had lots of lovely new homewares, bedding and pyjamas throughout 2023. Our staff’s favourite picks for this year are the Cahm reed diffuser’s with bunny tails, the colour changing mushroom lamps in little and large, and the Muslin textured cotton bedding!
