Every bed in our contemporary beds collection is made from solid hardwood – maple, beech, ash, oak, cherry or walnut – at our Sheffield workshop. Because every bed is made to order, you can choose the timber and size that suits your room, with some special editions and customisations available.
The use of natural timbers means these designs age wonderfully and will never feel dated. The character of the wood becomes part of the piece over time in a way that veneered items never would.

For a Japandi or minimalist look, the Osaka, Nara and Kyoto are among our most popular bed frames. With their low profiles and clean lines the Kyoto and Nara are perfect for Japanese style decor. The Osaka, with its gentle curves is the perfect mix of Japandi and Mid-century style.
If that mid-century style is what you are looking for, the Camden, Carnaby, Pimlico, Highbury, Chiswick and Hoxton are worth a look. Each feature delightfully curved legs and perfectly refined proportions.
The Bloomsbury pairs those same legs with an upholstered frame for a softer, perhaps more colourful, option. Like our other upholstered beds, the Bloomsbury is available in a range of fabrics and colours. We can also work with material supplied by the customer. For something with more presence, the Leith frame is made of deep, slender sections of solid timber for a refined, yet substantial look, and the Malabar offers chunky legs with clean, straight lines.

Our platform beds – The Oregon and Kulu – sit low to the ground with a strong horizontal emphasis. These are well suited to rooms with large open spaces such as lofts or conversions.
Several of our contemporary bed designs are available in special editions. This includes different finishes such as smoked walnut or ash, English oak and Scottish Elm, or options like the Bold Chevron Hoxton, which allows you to choose a contrasting timber for a section of your headboard.
